New Urban Process

The development of the OWHC’s New Urban Process (“NUP”) is the Organization’s top priority. The activities carried out under the two programs dedicated to it will lead to its adoption by all member cities at the 18th OWHC World Congress (Marrakech, October 26–29, 2026).

The New Urban Process is the OWHC’s strategic and operational framework. It serves as a common reference for member cities to enhance the habitability of their historic centers in order to keep them inhabited and vibrant. The two programs of the NUP, the Québec Roadmap and the Cordoba Path, and their respective activities, are now complete.
