Québec Roadmap
The Québec Roadmap is one of two programs dedicated to the development of the OWHC’s New Urban Process (NUP). Launched in 2022, the program established a collaborative engineering process that engaged participating cities in new ways of co-creating innovative solutions to overcome the challenges of sustainable urban development.
The program was structured around two main activities: Collaborative Networks and the Community of Practice.
Through the Networks, cities shared their experiences, compared their realities, and built a common understanding of the challenges to overcome. This work led to shared statements and the identification of concrete solutions aligned with the four Strategic Axes of the New Urban Process: Requalify the Habitat, Refresh the city, Transform Mobility, and Regenerate the Urban Environment.
The Community of Practice brought together stakeholders involved in the Collaborative Networks to refine and operationalize their results.
Beyond the results produced, the Québec Roadmap laid the groundwork for a new way of working together, based on cooperation, breaking down silos, and sharing expertise.
Reports from the Collaborative Networks and the Community of Practice can be found on the NUP Resources page:
