Bordeaux Collaborative Network International Workshop

The Collaborative Network led by Bordeaux has developed the priority Thematic “Greening and space planning for urban refreshment” in a series of five webinars since October 2023, in which the cities of Brussels, Budapest, Brugge, Cuenca (EC), Krakow, Luxembourg, Lyon, Nice, Puebla, Québec, Regensburg and Riga.

As a follow-up to the virtual meetings, on March 12 and 13, 2024, the city of Bordeaux successfully hosted the first International Workshop of the Roadmap‘s Collaborative Networks, a major two-day event organized jointly by the OWHC, Bordeaux Métropole and the City of Bordeaux.

Eloquent speeches by local elected officials, including Didier Jeanjean (Deputy Mayor in charge of nature in the city and peaceful neighborhoods), Baptiste Maurin (Deputy Mayor in charge of heritage, remembrance and artistic and cultural education) and Céline Papin (Deputy Mayor in charge of territorial, European and international cooperation, higher education and research), guided the collective reflection and reaffirmed the political commitment to a “New Urban Project” for World Heritage Cities.

  • Working sessions to develop and solve the problematics raised in the webinars
  • Restitutions and speeches by present cities of the Collaborative Network: Luxembourg, Nice, Krakow, Budapest
