The City of Luxembourg is launching a call via the Hotline – Raising Awareness of World Heritage Among Young People

The City of Luxembourg wishes to develop awareness-raising initiatives for children and teenagers focused on World Heritage and Outstanding Universal Value (OUV).

To date, it does not have any programs or tools specifically designed for these audiences. Furthermore, the city is considering the creation of a library or media center of educational resources, which could also serve as a base for exchange activities and hands-on experiences with young people.

With this in mind, the city is seeking concrete examples of initiatives developed by other member cities, whether related to tangible or intangible heritage.

Questions for member cities

1. Has your city implemented any programs or activities specifically designed for children or teenagers to help them discover World Heritage?
o If so, can you briefly describe them (format, frequency, partners, target audiences, etc.) and share examples?
o Please provide the contact person for the program/activity

2. Do you have educational tools (educational kits, games, workshops, digital resources, interactive tours, etc.) to raise awareness and educate young people about World Heritage or OUV?
o Would it be possible to share examples of these?
o Please provide the contact person, if applicable, for each of the tools developed.

3. What approaches or methods do you find most effective for capturing the attention of young audiences and making the concepts of heritage and OUV accessible?

IMPORTANT! You can share examples of initiatives, programs, and tools used with your young people in your native language. Luxembourg will handle the necessary translations.
