2025 Young Travellers on tour – follow their stories on the blog!
This year’s Young Travelling Scholarship is in full swing: three of our six selected scholarship holders have already started their trips or have even returned. You can read about their experiences and encounters in our World Heritage cities on social media (especially Instagram) and on the travel blog at www.owhc-youngtravelling.com.
Melanie and Sophia traveled to Berlin, Stralsund, Wismar, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Bergen and report under the motto: “Heritage in Motion”
Here you can see them in Stralsund, being welcomed by site manager Steffi Behrendt.
Leon Dresel is a 24-year-old engineering student from Regensburg, Germany with a passion for photography, especially in more experimental forms. After visiting Augsburg and Bamberg in Germany, he went to Québec for a longer stay, also visiting the General Secretariat for a stopover. His last destination will be Malta – and wherever he travels, he is taking his special photographs with infrared filter. Amazing effects – check out his posts!

Reeva and Ayushi from New Jersey – students at Temple University in Philadelphia, are reporting about their trip to the Mediterranean: they visited Split, Dubrovnik and Kotor and will connect to World Heritage in Philly when back home. Mihaela Skuric from Dubrovnik welcomed them and gave them a chance to get personal insights into the World Heritage management of the city.
