The Cities of Kraków and Banská Štiavnica and their mayors in cooperation with the OWHC Regional Secretariat for Eastern and Central Europe, has the honour to invite you to the 15th Regional Conference of the Organisation of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) with the central theme: World Heritage Listing: Impacts on Cities and Communities.

The conference will take place on 21–24 October 2025 in Krakow (Poland) and Banská Štiavnica (Slovakia).

OPEN CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS BY MEMBER CITIES

We are encouraging you to share experiences of your cities in reference to one of the themes:

1. Consequences of the World Heritage listing on the functioning of cities;
2. New architecture in World Heritage city areas – case studies;
3. Underground heritage.

The presentation should be given in English and should not exceed 20 minutes. Please send your interest to: [email protected] by 31 August 2025 at the latest.

Participation in the conference in Kraków and Banská Štiavnica (including meals and transfer from Kraków to Banská Štiavnica and return or transfer to Budapest) is free for OWHC member cities. We can also cover accommodation costs for one person per each city (OWHC members in good standing only).
