On September 8, 2026, OWHC member cities celebrated the 33rd OWHC Day around a common theme: the habitability of historic centers and dialogue with citizens.

Through guided tours, urban walks, exhibitions, participatory events, cultural activities, and symbolic gestures, the cities demonstrated in various ways how heritage can continue to support historic centers that are vibrant, welcoming, shared, and adapted to the needs of those who live there.

These initiatives helped bring heritage closer to everyday life, celebrate collective memory and local identity, and strengthen citizens’ participation in discussions about the future of their historic centers.
