The reports from the three virtual CityLabs are now available

We are pleased to announce the publication of the reports from the 3 virtual CityLabs held in April, thanks to the commitment of the coordinating cities, as part of a collective initiative focusing on three thematic areas:

  1. Culture of cooperation — coordinated by Bordeaux
  2. Tourism management in historic centers: balance between habitability, heritage, and the economy — coordinated by Amsterdam
  3. Energy efficiency and World Heritage — coordinated by Luxembourg

The workshops led to shared statements on the contemporary challenges facing historic centers, as well as courses of action and perspectives focusing in particular on cooperation among stakeholders, integrative approaches, and the adaptation of urban models to current issues.

The reports present the results of the discussions from these CityLabs, which brought together 33 representatives from 18 cities who shared their experiences, challenges, and concrete practices.

These latest contributions to the development process of the New Urban Process (NUP), which is scheduled to be adopted at the 18th World Congress of the OWHC in Marrakech, will help enrich the development of the OWHC’s action plan for the implementation of the NUP.
