Évora hosts this 20th to 22nd December the II Meeting of the Craftsmen of World Heritage Cities within the context of the local Christmas market of Évora.
This event is promoted by the Municipality of Évora and the Regional Secretariat of Southern Europe and Mediterranean of OWHC in the scope of the project “local crafts and visual pollution” which aims to promote local craftsmen and the authenticity and quality standards of traditional products.
This second edition brings to Évora craftsmen from the cities of Évora, Angra do Heroísmo and Guimarães (Portugal), Cordoba, Segóvia, Úbeda and Ibiza (Spain), Cidade Velha (Cape Verde) and Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Thus, the possibility to watch live work of crafstmen from several cities classified as World Heritage, each with strong traditions in popular culture, is an important incentive to visit the local Christmas market in Évora.
