Mexico affected again by earthquake

On Tuesday, 19 September, Mexico was again affected by an earthquake of magnitude 7.1. The capital, Mexico City, as well as the State of Morelos have been severely affected by the earthquake which currently numbers more than 200 dead.

The Organization of World Heritage Cities, its Secretary General and the staff of the General Secretariat unite as one voice to express their deepest condolences to the families affected by this disaster. All our positive thoughts go to the survivors of this earthquake.

We express our solidarity with the Mexican people and we wish them the strength to recover from this ordeal.
