3rd Young Photographers’ Competition on World Heritage Cities
THE 3rd YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS’ COMPETITION ON WORLD HERITAGE CITIES 2015
“Our Heritage: and you, how do you see it?”
The 3rd Young Photographers’ Competition on World Heritage Cities is being organised within the framework of the 2015 Action Plan drawn up by the Southern Europe and Mediterranean Regional Secretariat of the OWHC, regarding the RSEM/OWHC/03 agreement, adopted at the 14th Regional Conference held on 26th November 2014 in Cordoba (Spain).
The competition is open to young people born between 1999 and 2005 who are residents or visitors of member cities of the Southern Europe and Mediterranean Regional Secretariat.
This third competition seeks to reflect on the perception, degree of valorisation, and knowledge of young people regarding the World Heritage city in which they live, through their own portrayal of the cities in the photographs submitted to the competition. The competition is expected to focus on those elements of the cities which have led to them being declared UNESCO World Heritage Cities, as a reflection of their exceptional universal value. Besides, we encourage participants to make in these photographs reflect the themes worked on by the Regional Secretariat during 2015-2016: youth, mobility, tourism, local craftsmanship and visual pollution.
Entrants are entitled to submit a maximum of 2 original photographs each www.ovpm.org/en/youth-photo-competition-edsm, where they have to fill in the subscription form
