The seventh Conference of the Central and Eastern European Member Cities of the Organization of World Heritage Cities will be held on 9-12 September, 2008 in Budapest.

The cities of the region meet traditionally every other year. The 1996 Budapest conference was the first regional meeting and the beginning of meaningful regional work. The aim of the conference is to continue the successful co-operation, started in 1996, in the interest of preserving the values of our historical cities, and to elaborate the co-ordination of the activities of the various cities.
