After becoming a full member of the OWHC in 2015, the City of Philadelphia, with the Global Philadelphia Association, undertook a strategic planning process to engage its citizens in awareness of and responsibility for the city’s heritage assets. The engagement effort began with the creation of the Strategic Plan itself: over 200 repristinates of the area’s business, civic and educational communities participated in its formulation. The plan therefore represents a community-built vision of what we would like to accomplish as a World Heritage City and presents a plan of action for the realization of this vision.
