Election of the members of the Board of Directors of the OWHC for 2022-2024

Any mayor of a city that is a member in good standing for the current year may submit his or her candidacy to become a member of the Board of Directors of the OWHC.

In Québec, each candidate for the Board of Directors will be invited to speak to the participants to introduce him or herself. These speeches of a maximum of five (5) minutes will take place in the morning of Wednesday, September 7. The voting period for the election to the Board of Directors 2022-2024 will take place during lunch time on September 8. Finally, the results of that election will be announced the same day during dinner.

The Mayor of a member in good standing who wishes to apply for the position of Director of the Organization must deliver his nomination paper, duly completed and signed, at least one hour before the commencement of the opening ceremony of the biennial congress of the OWHC (By-law 44).

Please note that there is at least one meeting of the Board of Directors every year, and that the terms of office are two years. Only the airplane tickets to attend the meetings of the Board of Directors are at the members’ expense; the lodging and meal expenses are assumed by the host city of the meeting. Nota bene: The cities that are observer member of the OWHC cannot submit their candidacy to become a member of the Board of Directors 2022-2024 of the OWHC.
