L\u2019Organisation des villes<\/span>\u00a0du patrimoine mondial (OVPM) aimerait f\u00e9liciter le maire de Gyeongju, en Cor\u00e9e du Sud, M. Choi Yang-sik, puisque sa ville accueille d\u00e8s maintenant le secr\u00e9tariat As<\/span>ie-Pacifique, 8<\/span>e<\/sup> secr\u00e9tariat r\u00e9gional de l\u2019OVPM.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019Organisation aimerait \u00e9galement f\u00e9liciter Mme Min Kyeong Lee qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e \u00e0 titre de nouvelle coordonnatrice\u00a0<\/span>r\u00e9gion<\/span>ale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Conseil d\u2019administration de l\u2019OVPM a accueilli et officialis\u00e9 avec plaisir la cr\u00e9ation du nouveau secr\u00e9tariat de Gyeongju, lors de sa r\u00e9union \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec les 14, 15 et 16 mai 2013. Cette cr\u00e9ation fait suite aux recommandations prises lors de la rencontre du 29 ao\u00fbt 2012 UNESCO Asia Pacific Mayor\u2019s Forum for World Heritage Cities<\/em><\/a> et qui se lisent comme ceci\u00a0:<\/p>\n

  1. Create and maintain<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0networks and ties amongst each other to better meet the challenges of conserving and managing a city having World Heritage status in Asia and the Pacific, in particular within the network of the Organization of World Heritage Cities;<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Note\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>with appreciation the interest of the city of Gyeongju to host the first regional Secretariat for Asia and the Pacific of the Organization of World Heritage Cities, and the proposal to convene the first regional conference in 2014.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
